Prefinished Red Oak Box Tread is delivered to you ready to install. This solid stair tread is prefinished with our preferred "nanotek" finishing process. This allows our finish to be up to five times more durable than other comparable stair treads which is extremely important in high traffic areas such as stairs. Also many prefinished woods will darken with age and exposure to strong sunlight, so we add "protek" UV inhibitor to our finish to minimize darkening and yellowing. To ensure durability, these treads are made from solid red oak. We do not use laminates nor do we have any finger joints in our products.
